We are GCNA

The Grenada Co-operative nutmeg Association (GCNA) is an organisation founded on March 27, 1947 by an Act of Parliament called the Nutmeg Industry Act Chapter 215 of 2010 laws of Grenada. It is a quasi-co-operative formed by farmers to safeguard and promote the interest of the Nutmeg Industry and to help farmers develop and market their produce locally, regionally and internationally. Presently the GCNA has an active membership of approximately 3,500 farmers. The GCNA employed over 138 employees with its principal Head Office located at Kirani James Boulevard, St. George's. 85% of Grenada’s bulk nutmegs and mace are exported to Europe, Asia, Canada and South America, India, Argentina and the Caribbean.

The GCNA consists of a nine (9) member Board of Directors; six (6) are elected by farmers at the annual general meeting, and the other three (3) are nominated by Government of Grenada.
